The speech therapist&#8217;s responsibilities include performing patient assessments, developing individual treatment plans, liaising with teachers, family members, and other healthcare professionals, administering therapy and monitoring progress, and ensuring patients and their families are informed of new treatments and therapy techniques. You should also be able to work with patients from different backgrounds and be willing to make house calls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"speech-therapist-responsibilities\">Responsibilities:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assessing, diagnosing, screening, and preventing language, speech, and swallowing disorders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Communicating with the patient, and liaising with their family members, physicians, and teachers to design effective treatment plans.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Using tried and tested therapies in combination with new, innovative techniques to provide the best care.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keeping up-to-date with advancements in the field by attending conferences, conducting research, and expanding professional and academic networks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Educating patients and their families on speech disorders and available therapies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Taking detailed notes on patient history and progress.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Providing mentoring and workshops to speech therapy students.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Evaluating patient progress and implementing changes to therapy programs as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"speech-therapist-requirements\">Requirements:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Master&#8217;s degree in speech therapy or speech-language pathology.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>HAAD Licensed ST\/ OT.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience with certain disorders and age groups may be required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At least 02 years in the home country or UAE.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sound understanding of speech-related disorders and treatments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Familiarity with database management software.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent relationship-building skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Resourcefulness and strong problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Willingness to conduct research and travel to conferences.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fluent in Arabic, and English.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Salary: Starting AED13,000.00<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our client is one of the leading rehabilitation organizations in the UAE, searching for a flexible, resourceful speech therapist to join the team.
